Board Mr. Vivian McGuire, Non-Executive Director: Vivian McGuire is General Partner and CEO of Street Capital Partners a venture capital company based in Dublin, Ireland. Prior to founding Street Capital Partners in December 2001, Vivian was Co-Founder of Allen McGuire & Partners, a private equity investment company, in 1989 and prior to that spent six years as a Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin and an MBA from Cornell University. Mr. Mark Horgan, Non-Executive Director: Mark Horgan is a Venture Partner at Atlantic Bridge Ventures where he is a director in a number of Atlantic Bridge's portfolio companies. Mark most recently was CEO of Mentor Capital, a venture capital firm he founded that specialised in investing in and mentoring early growth stage technology companies. Previously he was the Group Financial Director of Mentec Limited, an established enterprise software company where he executed a number of M&A deals. Mark has held various senior financial and operations positions in the Mentec group, and a number of senior financial management positions in McInerney Properties plc and at Eastman Kodak. Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College, Cork and an MBA from University College, Dublin. In addition, Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Dr Jim Walsh, Non-Executive Director: Jim Walsh has 20 years general management experience in the Healthcare industry with particular experience in Diagnostics. He is an executive Director and Chief Operating Officer with Trinity Biotech Plc, (NASDAQ: TRIB) an Irish headquartered Diagnostics company. Previously Jim was Managing Director of Cambridge Diagnostics Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Inverness Medical Innovations Inc (AMEX: IMA) Before joining CDL he worked with Fleming GmbH as R&D Manager. Jim is a graduate of the National University of Ireland and holds a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry and Post Doctorate qualifications in Immunochemistry. Dr Alan O'Connell, Non-Executive Director: Alan O’Connell, M.Sc., Ph.D., is a pharmacology graduate with over 12 years experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Alan has worked in a variety of product development and business development roles at Elan (Dublin), American Biogenetic Sciences, Inc. (New York), and the Medicines Control Agency (London). Alan joined Seroba in 2003 from Elan where he was a Project Leader in the Product Development Group. His previous venture capital experience was gained at the Estée Lauder Investment Foundation in New York. Alan sits on the Boards of Biosensia, Diabetica, Crescent Diagnostics and TriMed and on the Scientific Advisory Board of The Estee Lauder Investment Foundation. |
